Join Faircape Restaurant and Catering as a Waiter at Onrus Manor in Hermanus
Faircape Restaurant and Catering, an integral part of the Faircape Life retirement villages, offers exceptional dining services across six prime locations in the Western Cape. Our focus is on providing quality meals and experiences to the residents and patients within our healthcare centers.
We are currently on the lookout for a dedicated Waiter to join our team at Onrus Manor in Hermanus. Preference will be given to candidates residing within the Hermanus area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Table Preparation: Change table linens as needed and ensure that all used linens are counted and replaced with clean items.
- Condiment and Settings Maintenance: Clean and refill condiment sets, and set tables to our established standards, ensuring all items are clean and in good condition.
- Hygiene Standards: Maintain cleanliness in designated areas and adhere to hygiene standards.
- Menu Knowledge: Gain comprehensive knowledge of all menu items to recommend or explain options confidently to residents.
- Food and Beverage Service: Serve guests according to our standards, maintaining a professional and courteous attitude.
- Customer Relations: Provide outstanding customer service, accommodating resident needs smoothly.
- Complaint Handling: Address customer complaints efficiently and report them to the manager.
- Inventory Management: Assist with regular stock audits and report discrepancies or breakages to the manager.
- Bar Inventory: Restock and maintain bar supplies.
- Billing Accuracy: Ensure accurate billing of orders and report any errors to the manager.
- Personal Grooming: Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
- Event Assistance: Be prepared to assist with private events outside of regular working hours when necessary.

Experience and Knowledge:

Your total compensation package includes payment for Sundays at time and a half and double pay for public holidays. Additionally, you’ll be eligible for quarterly bonuses, awarded every three months based on both individual and company performance. Please note, these bonuses are discretionary.
Working Hours:
You’ll work 16.25 shifts per month, with regular shifts scheduled from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Sunday, based on the roster.
