Job Description.
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a Cleaner for our Store located in Krugersdorp. Your responsibilities will include ensuring a tidy and organized office environment while upholding the hygienic standards set by Dis-Chem throughout the Head Office.

- Maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness in the Head Office and communal areas on a daily basis.
- Establish routines to guarantee that all sections of the Head Office are kept to a high standard of cleanliness.
- Ensure that the canteen and restroom are consistently clean and adequately stocked with necessary supplies.
- Be available at all times during operational hours to perform cleaning as needed.
- Verify that refuse does not contain any products or valuable items prior to disposal.
- Vacuum carpeted areas (including meeting and training rooms) daily in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Vacuum other carpeted areas weekly as per standard operating procedures.
- Dust desks, chairs, telephones, shelves, photocopiers, etc., in offices and meeting rooms following standard operating procedures.
- Comply with industry health and safety regulations while executing duties.
- Ensure that no cleaning tools are left unattended on the office floor and that they are stored away when not in use.
- Make certain that the wet floor sign is displayed and visible at both ends during floor cleaning.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor – capable of assisting customers on-site while cleaning is in progress.
- Direct customers to the appropriate floor or individuals when assistance is requested.
- Engage with staff and guests in a clear and amiable manner.
- Address minor issues or refer them to the team leader for further assistance.
- Ensure that kitchens and bathrooms are sufficiently stocked and cleaned according to Dis-Chem standards, reporting any low or out-of-stock items to the team leader.
- Notify the team leader of any malfunctioning equipment or items in operational areas, such as doors, handles, locks, taps, cisterns, lights, switches, etc.
