JOB DESCRIPTION:

VKB Milling (Pty) Ltd is one of the four subsidiaries under VKB Agri Processors (Pty) Ltd, which serves as the agri-processing arm of the VKB Group. The VKB Group plays a crucial role in South Africa’s agricultural sector, aiming to enhance the industry through best practices, ongoing improvement, and top-tier operations.

VKB Milling (Pty) Ltd operates white maize mills located in Mokopane and Louis Trichardt in Limpopo, as well as in Mashishing in Mpumalanga. Additionally, it runs a wheat mill in Frankfort, Free State, and a maize mill in Christiana, along with a wheat mill in Modderrivier, Northern Cape.

Occupational Role:

Oversight of the pasta production process. This position guarantees that the pasta is produced to exceptional standards, upholding quality, consistency, and authenticity.

Qualifications required:

Grade 12 certificate.
A qualification in pasta making (both theoretical and practical) is advantageous.
Strong people management skills.
A solid understanding of laboratory work with the ability to conduct tests and analyses, record pasta and laboratory data.
Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to quality and consistency.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Oversee the pasta production process by managing downtime and optimizing the performance of personnel, machinery, and equipment.
Additionally, handle personnel management tasks such as leave scheduling, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
Operate and maintain pasta-making machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
Conduct root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and provide maintenance support.
Monitor the inventory of ingredients and pasta products to guarantee sufficient stock for daily production needs.
Ensure the quality of inputs by being accountable for raw materials, production processes, and mix backs.
Finally, inspect the pasta to confirm it meets standards for shape, size consistency, and texture.
