Objective of the Internship Position.

The objective of this position is to deliver an outstanding client experience to optimize sales and profitability; to guarantee that operational standards are implemented and upheld, and to develop and improve the retailer brand image.

Key Responsibilities.

Optimize Revenue, Profitability, And Efficiency.

  • Meet monthly and yearly sales objectives.
  • Support the organization and execution of sales at events, launches, and retailer activities.
  • Timely provide feedback regarding sales or customer-related issues and concerns.

Brand Management.

  • Keep track of competitor activities and remain informed about current industry trends.
  • Ensure that hygiene and safety standards are consistently upheld in accordance with retailer requirements.
  • Continuously adhere to and uphold brand standards.

Stock Management, Merchandising and Store Operations.

  • Ensure that inventory is displayed in accordance with merchandising standards.
  • Report any stock shortages to the line manager on a daily basis to enhance sales and ensure an outstanding client experience.
  • Manage stock administration, prevent stock loss, and control stock levels effectively.
  • Consistently implement and comply with operating procedures and policies.
  • Ensure asset control and security measures are in place.
  • Manage point of sale operations.

Customer experience.

  • Deliver an exceptional and consistent experience to all clients.
  • Maintain and reinforce the standards of the Client journey and experience.
  • Cultivate relationships, foster loyalty, and instill confidence in clients by offering cosmetic services.
  • Utilize expert knowledge and skills when showcasing products (make-up, skincare, and fragrances) to clients.
  • Provide make-up, skincare, and fragrance advice, share expert knowledge, discuss current trends, and offer customers a personalized, educational experience.
  • Encourage the growth of the customer database by attracting new clients.

Collaboration.

  • Engage in cooperative efforts with fellow colleagues and stakeholders to foster a harmonious workplace, aid in the execution of the comprehensive sales operational strategy, actively participate in and support all events, and hold one another accountable.
  • Assist and guide new team members during their onboarding and orientation process.
  • Ensure that outstanding and consistent standards are upheld.
  • Embody the company’s values; maintain integrity in all actions.

Administration.

  • Daily tracking sheets and reports must be completed and submitted as necessary.
  • Execution of CRM processes.
  • Retail reports and updates should be provided as required.

Requirements/Qualifications.

  • Matric certificate.
  • At least 3 years of experience in cosmetics (Make-up, skincare, and fragrances) within a retail setting.
  • Experience in make-up artistry is a plus.
  • A Certificate in Beauty/Make-Up is a plus.
  • Ability to exhibit expert knowledge and awareness of current industry trends.
  • Must be a collaborative team member, an eager learner, and a problem-solver.
  • Candidate must be prepared to work weekends and shifts as necessary.
  • Must possess personal transportation.
