About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead business unit growth initiatives to meet VKB Group’s strategic goals.
- Develop and implement expansion strategies in the agricultural retail industry.
- Collaborate with teams to optimize operations and enhance market reach.
- Ensure efficient performance while maintaining high service standards.
Requirements:
✅ Education:
- Minimum: Grade 12 or NQF Level 4
- Preferred: Relevant tertiary qualification (advantageous)
✅ Experience:
- 3+ years in the agricultural retail industry
✅ Skills & Attributes:
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Willingness to work after hours when necessary
- Commitment to ongoing training & development
Key Duties and Responsibilities for Business Unit Management
1. Financial Management
Oversee the financial performance of the business unit, ensuring profitability, cost control, and budget adherence.
2. Stock & Inventory Management
- Manage merchandising, stock levels, and ordering processes
- Handle claims and conduct regular stock takes
- Optimize inventory turnover and minimize stock losses
3. Personnel & Team Leadership
- Mentor and develop staff to enhance performance
- Foster a positive work environment aligned with company values
4. General Management & Compliance
- Implement and uphold VKB policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations
5. Customer Service Excellence
- Resolve customer queries and complaints efficiently
- Maintain high service standards to build loyalty

- Drive creative strategies to exceed sales and performance targets
- Continuously seek ways to improve business operations
