  • Risk Management: Ensure a safe environment for colleagues and customers by adhering to company safety protocols.
  • Communication: Implement Dis-Chem’s five-star communication principles in all customer interactions.
  • Cash Flow Management: Handle cash transactions responsibly, ensuring all line voids and price changes have supervisor approval.
  • Merchandise Exchanges: Facilitate product exchanges and returns when authorized.
  • Payment Processing: Process all customer purchases, accepting various payment methods, and manage all loyalty card transactions for partners like Discovery Health Care and ABSA Rewards.
  • Secure Cash Handling: Deposit cash securely into the drop safe and ensure that your personal code and password are kept confidential and updated regularly.
  • Stock Management: Ensure that all items leaving the store are scanned and paid for.
  • Confidentiality: Maintain the confidentiality of daily takings and discuss them only with management as needed.
  • Loss Prevention: Be vigilant and report any suspicious behavior to management immediately.
  • Customer Inquiries: Assist with any questions customers may have regarding store merchandise.
