Position Overview: Talent Co-Ordinator

The Talent Co-Ordinator will report directly to the Talent and Development Manager. The primary objective of this role is to coordinate and support all talent development activities across the organisation. These initiatives include career pathing, personal development planning, coaching interventions, succession planning, and the implementation of talent-related policies.

This is not an entry-level role, but rather a position suited to candidates with relevant HR or organisational development experience who are ready to take on responsibility within a fast-paced corporate setting.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supporting a wide range of talent and development initiatives, including but not limited to:

  • Coordinating succession planning strategies aligned with the Group’s long-term business goals
  • Researching talent management and organisational development best practices to improve internal processes
  • Supporting leadership development programmes and other employee development initiatives
  • Coordinating organisational development projects, campaigns, and interventions from planning through to implementation and measurement
  • Ensuring that talent strategies align with Employment Equity (EE) targets, skills development plans, and learning and development interventions
  • Supporting coaching and mentoring initiatives to ensure talent pool candidates receive adequate development support
  • Assisting with the planning and coordination of internal learning and development (L&D) programmes, including training logistics
  • Facilitating the development of a competency framework aligned with job specifications, promotional criteria, and company grading systems
  • Preparing and submitting weekly and monthly statistical and progress reports as required

This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the business.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants should meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Matric / Grade 12 (mandatory)
  • A relevant or similar qualification in Human Resources, Talent Management, or Organisational Development (advantageous)
  • Proven experience in talent management, succession planning, or organisational development within an HR environment
  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Computer literacy, particularly in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer liaison skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management abilities
  • A valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
  • A clear criminal record
  • Residency in or near the West Rand, Johannesburg
